When two college students watch a cursed film reel starring the forgotten 1930's cartoon character Mr. Scootles, they unknowingly set off a chain of events that could lead to Hell on Earth. Featuring a cast that includes a beautiful skirt-wearing demon, a bloodthirsty professor, a warrior angel, Judas, and the Devil herself. Mr. Scootles is a mystery-filled tale that is a tribute to the art of animation and its creators.

A successful cartoon star in the early 1930's, Mr. Scootles had some exciting times. However, none of those animated adventures were as dangerous as the real-life battle he encounters in his afterlife. Trapped in Hell because of his creator's suicide, Scootles meets the Gatekeeper. She informs him that one of his films is a gateway to Hell. To protect the two college students who have the film reel, Scootles must not only prevent the Gatekeeper from opening the portal, but he must also make it through Hell, with his dwindling soul in one piece! |

When Jason applied to work at his college's MultiMedia Department, he never dreamed he'd discover a valuable animated film that no one has seen since the late 1930's. He also would have never guessed that the reel of film is actually a gateway to Hell and that by sharing it with his friend Kelly, he has unknowingly involved her in a fight to stop the entire world from being enslaved by a girl who works at the Gates of Hell. To complicate matters, Jason's film history teacher would kill to get his hands on the film...literally! |

Kelly had long been waiting for Jason to ask her to hang out on the weekend and spend a day together which didn't involve studying or work. Just when Kelly thought that day arrived, Jason instead presented her with a 16mm film that he "borrowed" from their school's library. Thanks to the film's supernatural capabilities, Kelly may soon get her chance to be alone with Jason. Unfortunately, she may be possessed by a denizen of Hell at the time. Hopefully, everything will be back to normal in time to ask Jason to the Winter Ball, their college's seasonal formal. If not, Kelly's Winter Ball may be spent as a lost soul burning in Hell. |

Self-trained in what he calls the "Black Arts", Professor Sentalanqua has learned that an old film reel believed to be a portal to Hell is somewhere on the campus he teaches. Sentalanqua believes he knows how to open the portal and isn't going to let anyone stop him...especially the students in his classroom. The Film History teacher has begun sacrificing students, believing blood must spill in order to open the portal. The feeling of control in the classroom just isn't enough, now Sentalanqua wants to rule to the entire world! |

The Gatekeeper watches the desk at the Gates of Hell. The newest arrival in Hell, Mr. Scootles, has caught her attention. She recognizes him as her ticket out of a dead-end job in Hell and into a nice new position as ruler of all mortals on Earth. |

Kelly's suitemate, Christina, studies Illustration at Drumheller Art Institute. Christina isn't aware of the dark secrets hiding on the campus nor does she realize her whole life is about to change. When she agrees to escort Jason to the school's boiler room to burn a tiny film cannister, this Brooklyn-born latina finds herself in a life or death struggle with the unknown. |

Stunningly beautiful with large thoughtful eyes and a scorching shock of pink in her perfumed hair, Lucy isn't what one pictures when thinking of the Devil. However, the most beautiful of all of angels fell from grace when she allowed jealousy to over take and cloud her judgment. Banished to rule a fiery lake of lost souls for eternity, Lucy's punishment has become a source of power and purpose. She has a great interest in the curse Weston Lang, Jr. created and the methods he used in order to escape the punishment for his suicide. Her destiny will entwine with the fate of Mr. Scootles as the the world hangs in the balance. |

A high member of the Devil's governing council, Judas has tried to do the best with what he has. Once a close associate to the Son of God, he has sworn to be loyal to his new teacher and to never do anything for only 30 pieces of silver again. |

The head of campus security at Drumheller Art Institute, Ox Sanders is a powerful and dangerous official. He leads a helmeted, faceless team of campus security guards as they enforce each new rule created by Dean Sendo. Several students have become victims of their brutality and force, and rumor has it security has begun wiretapping dorm room phones. |

The Dean of Drumheller Art Institute is no stranger to corruption. From using funds allocated for education for his own vices and strengthening the campus's security to Orwellian proportions, Sendo seems to have met his match when he joins forces with the murderous Prof. Sentalanqua. Never quite trusting the disturbed teacher of art history, Dean Sendo has hatched his own plan on what to do with the cursed film reel should Sentalanqua find it on the campus grounds. Dean Sendo constantly surrounds himself with a team of guards lead by the giant head of campus security, Ox Sanders. Rumors have swirled around New York that Dean Sendo's campus security is actually a team of bio-engineered clones incapable of feeling pain. Sendo has publicly laughed off these charges though has never presented any personal records for the security team citing it would be a privacy violation as Drumheller is a private school. |
